David W. Thornton 
President 


David W. Thornton founded JDT Transportation in 2003. David started the company with one customer who wanted concierge services. David found that this was a need in the market place, which birthed the vision of JDT. David has over twenty years of industry experience. Working in the business sector of corporate America he trained and dealt with prestigious customers. His experience and drive has launched JDT into a small business operation that employees qualified drivers to cater to his customers needs. 


David continues to strive to grow JDT into a branded company. JDT service lines include Concierge Service, Medical Transportation, Executive Services and School Transportation.  In 2008, JDT opened a new office in Columbus, Ohio, located near the Columbus International Airport. David added five additional staff members, including a fleet of vehicles for various clients. David states “We are professionals and pride ourselves at providing excellent customer service”. David contributes success to taking one step at a time, dedicating time to effective measures of doing business

Jennifer Thornton 
Vice President of Operations
 


Jennifer serves as the Vice President of Operations. Jennifer's role is interchangeable for JDT. Jennifer brings more than twenty years of organizational experience, management, strategic planning and business development to the organization. Jennifer served as Director of Programs and Executive of the Regional Minority Business development organization for various companies. Jennifer joined the JDT team in 2008. 

Jennifer contributions to the organization have caused a direct expansion in business. With her small business growth knowledge she continues to offer new innovative ways to cater to the customers, while bringing in new business opportunities

Charmaine Elkins 

Customer Manager 

Charmaine serves at the Customer Manager for JDT. Charmaine has over ten years of office management experience, specializing in coordination; which is key to meeting every customer need. Her direct experience allows JDT to continue providing consistency to each and every customer. Charmaine has the sole responsibility for customer follow - up, scheduling and billing inquires.

Gwen R. Elkins 

Dispatch Manager 



Gwen serves as the Dispatch Manager for JDT. Gwen's role is critical to meeting JDT's customer needs. With twenty years of service dedicated to the State of Ohio, Gwen understands the demand of customers. Gwen is responsible for scheduling, compliance and  arrival and pick-ups. She also assists in managing the teams scheduling and driver dispatch.
